Bloggbanners

THE LAST ONE!

Schindler's List

The little girl in the red coat. A great movie about the holocaust. I’m not sure if they show this at schools but they should. They really should. It’s about a man who saves alot of people during world war 2. In a time where people needed all the help they could get one man puts his own life and wealth on the line to save families from being put in camps and killed off by the germans.

See it… that’s an order!

Well thank you for participating in this series of pictures and movies. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did! And if you have any questions about any of the pictures or of the movies. Do not hesitate to contact me!

Two to go!

Star Wars

Mr. Han Solo himself. Star Wars. Not sure what to write about it to be honest. Sure it is a nice bunch of movies and I really enjoy watching them. But episode 1-3 really bummed me out and kind of ruined episode 4-6. But I can’t help myself… I love them! I actually wrote my final essay in Upper Secondary School about “Good and Evil in Star Wars”. That says a whole lot I would say!

Well I can’t stop posting now! Only got 3 more!

Tropa De Elite

It is a Brazillian movie that is played out in and around Rio De Janeiro. It is about police corruption and a police force that does what ever it takes to get the job done to clear the streets and slums from drugs. You get to follow two friends and their observations as police officers.

One could compare it to the movie “City of God”. But from another perspective. And since they are based on true stories they all become more gruesome and horrible at the same time as wonderful and awesome. A Must see.

And if you listen to the music in this movie I think you will recognize one of the songs!

Let’s keep this going shall we?

Pulp Fiction

1994. Pulp Fiction. This movie is one of my absolute favourite movies of all time. When I was a little lad watching this I guess  I liked it because it was “cool” and they used alot of swear words and killed people all the time. But as time past I still kept this movie close to my heart, and I would say that it is one of those movies that grows on you. You keep finding new stuff or realizing some detail in the story that quite did not fit the other day when you saw it.

It is truly a masterpiece. See it! 🙂

Let’s get this party rolling again shall we? For some reason I stopped, and we would not want that now would we? NO! Kicking it off!

Trainspotting!

Movie number seven. Trainspotting.

A bit sad that only one of these four actually got a career since they all are pretty brilliant in this movie. But then again, for all I know all of them might have careers only that I just notice Ewan McGregor! Ahwell!

Movie is situated in Scotland amongst heroin addicts. It’s a pretty broken area and some passages in the movie is really disturbing. But awesome nonetheless.

See this movie if you havn’t already cause it is mind boggling!

6th picture today! AWESOME

Sin City

Sin City

Oh yes, its Sin City. The many talanted Micky Rourke in the picture. Since I am a fan of Film-Noir, or Neo-Noir as this is I really love this movie! The colours, the fights, the blood… Even Eliah Wood is good in this movie. I think this is one of those “Love or Hate” movies. I love it!

It has a raw tone, the humour is brilliant when that time comes and the fact that his is based on a comic book even makes things better! A movie that is something out of the ordinary and that is based on a comic book! Never happened before! Sure X-Men was good but it’s not a Sin City. This is why it belongs up there! Its pure awesomeness…

We are at nr5! What could it be!

Office Space

Office Space

The red stapler. Isn’t that just glorious? The comedy that everybody remembers as the “Kill the Copy machine” movie! Very interesting characters indeed! It’s about a man who works in a cubicle for a company. And he hates it! One day he is fed up with it and instead of bringing a gun to work, he does it in his own way :).

The red swingline stapler made a permanent mark in my head and stapled the love for this movie in my mind forever. If you want to laugh, laugh with this. Do it, come on DO IT!

Banner – Movie number 4

And today’s movie iiiiis!

Donnie Darko

Donnie Darko! This odd but wonderful movie which you either love it or you hate it. It’s funny and serious and alot of stuff. It has one of the best soundtracks ever made and the photography is ACE. I really can’t put my finger on what it is with this movie that makes it so great. Except for the things I’ve already posted. It’s the feeling you get when you watch it. Its cozy in a way. And scary in another way. And wonderfull.. and… well awesome 😉

The reason it’s up there is that I get a really good feeling when I watch it. And the acting in it is really good for such younglings! And the last time I saw it I actually noticed that Seth Rogen is in it! Watch it or DIE is my final word!

You know what time it is! Oh yes its BANNER-TIME

The Royal Tenenbaums

The Royal Tenenbaums

Oh yes, The Royal Tenenbaums it is. And they are here with a vengence! Or something! The movie is about a disfunctional family where alot of strange things happen and the relations between the siblings and the parents are… Well they are a bit torn and fragile to say the least! It is a very strong movie with alot of brilliant scenes. All of the characters in this movie really plays their part, Luke Wilson is especially good in a couple of scenes.

I saw this movie one time and I did not like it at all. Then a few years later I zapped through the channels and this movie was on. A scene with Luke Wilson was playing and I just sat there, thinking “What is this, this is truly awesome”.  I was stuck in front of the TV until the very end of the movie and I have loved it ever since. This is why it deserves a spot up there in the heavens! For pure brilliance and a very subtile form of humour, watch The Royal Tenenbaums, you will not regret it!
